COVID-19 update Miller Public School non-operational

COVID-19 Banner

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for your patience during this week while we work with NSW Health.

I would like to provide you with a further update to my communications.

As you are aware, our school was made non-operational due a member of our school community having tested positive for COVID-19 and reopened again on Wednesday 16 November 2021. The students and staff identified as contacts have been notified and asked to self-isolate for the required period.

NSW Health have advised that additional members of our school community have tested positive to COVID-19.

We continue to work closely with NSW health and have made the decision that our school will be made non-operational until Monday 22 November 2021, for the on-site attendance of students and staff and revert to learning from home during this time.

Learning from home resources will be provided to students, who will be supported by our staff who will be working from home during this time. Additional resources are available on the learning from home hub.

NSW Health has requested anyone who has been unwell or if you develop any symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell/taste, muscle/joint pains, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting or extreme tiredness to be tested at one of the COVID-19 testing clinics.

Further information about COVID-19 is available on the NSW Government website.

The safety and wellbeing of our staff and students is of paramount importance to us at all times. As such we will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is adhered to. During this time, it is recommended that families consider COVID-19 testing to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our school community.

While we recognise this will be disruptive and inconvenient for families, it is important that we follow NSW Health advice and take all necessary precautions to minimise the risk of further transmission to support our community.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
