Explicit teaching

Explicit teaching practices are proven to work for all students. Our staff use explicit teaching strategies to effectively teach all children at their point of need.

Staff use targeted programs to provide students with the foundational literacy skills they require to become proficient readers and writers.

Aboriginal education

Aboriginal education is a focus at Miller Public School, a culturally safe school that is dedicated to fostering strong relationships. We authentically embed Aboriginal education into our school environment through partnerships, cultural acknowledgement and the school Aboriginal Language program. We work in partnership with the Liverpool Local AECG.

Miller Minis - transition to school

Miller Minis is a transition to school program designed for students in the year before they start primary school, providing them with foundational skills and experiences to ease their adjustment to the school environment. It focuses on building confidence, social skills, and early learning readiness in a supportive and engaging setting.

Performing arts

Students have the opportunity to engage in a variety of performing arts including dance, choir and learning to play the recorder. We perform at the annual Western Liverpool Festival of Performing Arts as well as the Festival of Instrumental Music at the Sydney Opera House.
